If you’re on the lookout for something new to watch, look no further than the psychological thriller ‘Yellowjackets’. Starring some iconic 90s actresses like Christina Ricci (Now and Then, The Addams Family), Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers) & Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures, But I’m a Cheerleader), Yellowjackets tells the story of a girls’ soccer team whose plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness in 1996 and the unspeakable things they endure and resort to in order to survive.

The story of what happens in the months following the plane crash is cleverly interwoven with the present-day lives of some of the survivors, leaving us with juicy mysteries to chew on while showcasing a compelling study on trauma, human psychology and society.

Part “Lost”, part “Lord of the Flies”, the series is brilliantly cast, written and acted. I’ve watched it twice and I still can’t get enough. Give it a go and let me know what you think!
